The art of Flight was commissioned by the City of Rancho Cucamonga for their Archibald Library Branch in 2015. It was in celebration of their 20th Anniversary. Flight is comprised of 20 flying and exploding books hanging in the foyer of the Library. It is seen from many levels within the building and playfully turns and sways as people walk in the doors and through the Library.

Flight was created with the intention of catching the magic of books and making the energy that is written in their pages outwardly visible. It is a playful, energetic installation that is meant to capture the imagination of any book readers that walk through the Library. It is especially popular with children, who marvel about the flying books.
